The difference between EPP and ordinary foam.

EPP foam is short for a new type of foam plastic, also known as foamed polypropylene foam, is a kind of "environmental products", easy to decompose and recycle recycling, such as environmental shopping bags and disposable shopping bags.

The outer walls of the EPP particles are closed and the interior is filled with gas. Usually, only 2% to 10% of its total weight is solid, and the rest is gas. The foaming material has the following characteristics:

1. Light weight, good elasticity, seismic compression, high deformation recovery rate, is widely used in aircraft, automobiles and other important parts, saving fuel consumption while improving the safety factor of passengers.

2. Heat resistance (-40~130℃), its closed bubble structure has significant heat insulation effect, and because of its non-toxic, it is also widely used in food packaging and microwave oven heating.

3. It can be 100% recycled. In contrast to other foams, EPPs are pure hydrocarbons, free of plasticizers or foaming agents and any other chemicals that do not recirculate, so they dissolve when heated, leaving only water and carbon dioxide behind when burned. Even if the fog test is carried out at 100℃, it can meet the requirements of environmental regulations. In addition, when combined with other polypropylene, such as PP films, injection-molded frames, TPO fabrics, etc., a so-called "materials integrated system" can be achieved, meaning that the system does not need to be broken down when it is recycled.

We use EPP pipe for air volume conveying of warm and cold air. The reason is very simple: after the greenhouse cleaning treatment, the wind will be breathed into the body by us. It is best to use food-grade pipe with wind circulation, so as to ensure the safety, health, environmental protection and asepsis of the wind.

For the common foam made of EPS, the scope of application is not very wide, mainly in the field of packaging and construction.

But for the environment this material is more adverse, it is not suitable for biodegradation, not environmental health type products, to say its advantage is durable characteristics.

And it is also widely used in wall insulation, flat concrete roof and steel structure roof insulation; It is used for moisture-proof insulation of low-temperature storage ground, parking platform, airport runway, highway and other fields. It is also the best heat insulation and moisture-proof material in the construction industry.
So, there is a big difference in the foam of these two materials! Different ingredients for different purposes, and have different characteristics and properties are not the same.
